Nora's Wood - Bessingby
Long term intentions
The long-term intention is to develop and maintain a diverse, secondary broadleaved high forest. This will be achieved by management of the existing planting and through any natural regeneration thus encouraging self-sustainability of the woodland and a more diverse age structure in future years. The wood to be dominated by native broadleaved species (80%), with a mixed shrub layer. Public access on a permissive basis will be available throughout the site although no maintained footpaths are available within the site.
