Woodland management
To maintain and enhance the conservation, landscape and amenity value of the ancient woodland by allowing the Scots pine woodland areas to continue to mature and regenerate; to convert the remaining Scots pine plantation areas into more open Scots pine woodland; and to encourage a wider variety of native tree species to develop in areas where site conditions are appropriate.
Public Access
The woodland area will be maintained as a place for quiet informal recreation by: maintaining the footpath network in accordance with the Woodland Trust Estate Management Specifications. The existing leaflet and information board will be reprinted and updated ensuring visitors appreciation the value of the wood, the Woodland Trust and our wider objectives.
