 Armstrong's Wood - Tostock

Site Description

Armstrong’s Wood is a linear roadside shelterbelt with a wide variety of broadleaved trees which were probably planted sometime in the nineteenth century. In the western section of the wood there is a small woodland pond with a large mature beech veteran.

Most of the land to the south of the wood is used for arable farming, with the remaining land and that to the north being used for grazing and horse paddocks. A water pipe and electricity cable run under the site at the western end.
